With that in mind the MCEA has established a new scholarship at Crossroads College to encourage persons with a heart for new church evangelism.

It will be exciting to see the scholarship applications for this school year from those students who see themselves being used by the Lord for future church planting efforts!

If you detect a note of urgency in the writings of this newsletter that is because we, the Board of Directors of the MCEA, share an absolute sense of urgency in planting new churches. We are seeing the results of a
cultural shift that is for various reasons making it all the more difficult for some smaller, and often rural congregations to continue to be viable. It is heartbreaking to hear of our Restoration congregations closing their doors but at the same time this underscores the desperate need to plant New Testament faithful congregations. All our ministries in this state and region depend on it and there is no doubt in our minds that this is the will of our Father God!

While resources are too precious and few to waste them on any effort that could be considered less than well planned, manned, or executed we MUST move forward and we are determined to do so.

Please God, open the hearts and minds of capable church planters and encourage them to answer your call!

Please God, continue to bless our faithful supporters who are equally anxious to hear good news of success in this ministry.

Please God, guide us in all things as we faithfully seek your will and endeavor to accomplish it.

Thank you Lord Jesus!

There are many reasons why we feel a church plant in Hermantown has an excellent chance for success, but unfortunately we have been forced to accept a more patient stance than we had hoped due to the lack of the right church planter. We are praying and searching for the key servant who will claim this ministry and provide a great new victory for the Kingdom.

Please join us in prayer and with our search to find that individual whom the Lord has called.

Probably not, after all it is one Kingdom and that Kingdom is HIS! While we know that our specific niche of primary focus is the state of Minnesota the Lord put on our hearts an urgent need with the upcoming church plant in Bismarck, ND. Derek and Amanda Olsen were in great need of a vehicle as they are promoting the new work and were making ready to move to Bismarck.
The MCEA gladly responded and helped with the provision of the vehicle. We also would like to encourage all of our MCEA family to join us in prayer for the success and benefit of this new Restoration congregation!

The single most challenging aspect of the church planting ministry, right up there with the raising of the needed funds to make a new plant work, is locating qualified, called, and committed persons to accept the ministry of new church creation. Finding that right person, one whom the Lord has called and equipped for this specific ministry, is absolutely critical to the success of the entire effort. Currently, we are praying, searching, discussing and interviewing candidates and then we are praying some more. We know that God is faithful and we are sure that He is working right now to prepare individuals to lead His new churches, but it is hard sometimes to be as patient as the process requires.

We thank you and praise God that you are also showing patience and are joining us in prayer. By all means, please share with the MCEA Board any leads for new church planters. We have been checking into many possibilities for church planters, some of which do not feel called at this time, some are presently continuing their education and training, and some who are considering whether this is the right time in their lives to join in this ministry. When God provides the right person we are ready to move immediately and work with them on the location and required preparations.
